Nestora
A note from the developer
Nestora is a prototype — a passion project I built to see if this idea has legs. If enough people play it and love it, I'd love to develop it into a full game with more depth, more creatures, more biomes, and a lot more to discover.
So if you enjoy it: leave a comment, rate it, and tell a friend. That's the most valuable thing you can do. Every play counts. 🙏
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Nestora is a cozy creature-collection idle game where you hatch eggs, place magical creatures called Nestori across a living island, and watch your nature sanctuary grow and evolve.
Every egg holds a surprise. Crack open common Dewpups and Brushfoxes — or discover rare Coraldrakes and mythic Timbermoose. Nestori earn stars just by living on your island, so progress keeps ticking even when you step away.

Build Your Nestora
Place Nestori into five distinct biomes — Forest, Meadow, Water, Mountain, and Cavernous — each with its own ecosystem of creatures. Match a Nestori to its home biome and it earns double income. Fill a biome and your island levels up, unlocking new slots and rarer eggs.

Merge Into Nests. Evolve.
Collect three of the same Nestori and merge them into a powerful Nest — a glowing family bond that grants +50% income. Fill a biome and a Nest transforms into evolved species.
Trade at the Trading Post
Each trade brings a random merchant — haggle with Mira, Kael, and others to swap a Nestori for something rarer. Reroll the offer up to three times. Trading is often the fastest route to filling a biome or landing a legendary you've never seen hatched.

20+ Nestori Across 8 Rarities
From Common to Celestial and Eternal, every rarity tier looks and earns differently. The higher the tier, the harder to hatch — and the more stars they pour in.

This is a prototype — your feedback shapes what comes next
Nestora is deliberately small and focused right now. A full version could bring deeper progression, more biome types, creature lore, seasonal events, and much more — but only if this resonates with people. Play it, break it, tell me what you loved and what frustrated you. Every comment genuinely influences whether this becomes something bigger.

Is going back to the main menu supposed to erase all your progress?
Kinda sad all my critters are gone. :(
Hi Avalorn, it does do that huh? Lets see if we can keep your critters in a new update thats coming soon. Thanks for the feedback! How are you enjoying it? What do you like and dont like?
I really liked the creature designs / artwork, and the overall pacing felt pretty good (up until everything got erased; at that point I gave up.) The random egg spawns and trades felt interesting. I had some troubles actually getting some of the cards/critters to go onto the board, especially into the spaces close to your hand of cards. Also I was concerned about filling up all the spaces before I realized you could take creatures back into your hand and you got board expansions for filling everything. How exactly the upgraded ones spawn I wasn't clear on either but I believe it's when you have a triple and expand the board. Overall I liked what I've seen so far other than the most unfortunate loss of all progress. I didn't even think to snap a screenshot, RIP shiny blue legendary deer.
One small QoL request; I really do appreciate when games allow click-and-hold for repeatedly clicking on things (like hatching the eggs). Old repetitive strain injuries are not much fun.
